Spring Semester Programs

*Spring and Fall dates include additional mission trip.

Students are required to maintain full-time student status during their programs, including:

  • Global Missions Perspectives required when minimum enrollment is met
    • (45 contact hours/3 semester credits; taught by Veritas professor)
  • International Missions/Service-Learning Practicum required
    • (1-3 semester credits; facilitated by Veritas Mission Mentor)
  • Other courses at the PUCV to maintain full-time student status

Intermediate language level students may take up to 228 hours of courses from the PUCV plus the Veritas course and the Veritas International Missions/Service Learning Practicum. Intermediate students should (not required) take at least 90 hours of Spanish language classes and an additional 150 hours of courses from the PUCV.

Advanced language level students may take up to 228 hours of courses from the PUCV plus the Veritas course and the Veritas International Missions/Service Learning Practicum.

Veritas Course

Participation in Veritas courses is required in order to enhance the Veritas experience.

 

Global Missions Perspectives (3 credits)

The purpose of this course is to survey the mission activity of God in the world, past, present and future.  The course material and lectures will cover the biblical and the historical basics of God’s global purposes, missions strategies, cultural issues and contemporary missiological issues. The material will be presented through lectures, class and group discussions, video, guest speakers, reading assignments and worksheets. (Download syllabus here)

International Missions/Service Learning Practicum (1-3 credits)

The practicum will enrich the program and mission experience through reflection assignments, research, and journaling. Participation is required in order to enhance the mission experience. Students will receive one credit upon completing the assignments and service participation. Students may elect to submit a log of hours for up to two additional credits. (Download syllabus here).
