This principal aim of this module is to look at recent developments in criminological theory and practice in the criminal justice system in relation to domestic violence. The module aims to give students a firm understanding of the complexity of debates on domestic violence, crime control, and crime prevention; and to develop students' skills in the cross national comparative analysis of crime and criminal justice. In addition, problem, solving, debate, critical analysis and writing concise evidence based reports will form part of the skills development.
