This module aims to develop more complex skills through the reading and writing of various forms of fiction. Texts with a more experimental inclination will be subjected to particular scrutiny, including, for example, metafictions and postmodernist narratives, hypertext and contemporary writing which combines innovative and traditional storytelling motifs. Detailed attention will also be paid to practical skills such as editing and students will be offered opportunities to think more seriously about how to prepare a manuscript for publication.
