1 / Overall Objectives of the course: Introduction to the History of Art and analyzing works of art; Discovery of the main French art movements between 1850 and 1914; Discovery of the great French artists and their works, the located in the historical, artistic and socio-cultural of the time.

2 / Instructional Procedures Teacher
The course offers an alternation of classroom sessions and visits to monuments and museums of Paris. It is based on a thorough analysis of the periods and works and with the active participation of students. Thus, even outside of the foundations of the history of French art, they are gradually brought to acquire the plastic analysis tools and specialized language necessary for any artistic comment.
Outside the classroom, the attendance of the Louvre is necessary for the acquisition of knowledge, where students are encouraged to work the course. More generally, it is imperative that they are looking visual works studied (internet).
