Fall 1 2018: Business, Communications, International Relations & Liberal Arts (August 27, 2018 - December 14, 2018)

Students will enroll in the following:

  • Two Veritas courses:
    • International Missions Practicum required
    • Church History Required when minimum enrollment is met.Required when minimum enrollment is met.
  • Two-three other courses at the American Univeristy of Rome to maintain full-time student status

A few courses have extra fees for materials and/or field trips. Courses are taught in English except for Italian language courses which are available for students with a beginning through advanced level of proficiency. Courses will be taught by local and international faculty. Classmates are international students.

 

VERITAS COURSES

Participation in Veritas courses is required in order to enhance the Veritas experience.


HUM360: Church History (3 credits)

A survey of the development of the Christian church from the close of the New Testament period to the present time, with special attention to the origin of various denominations.  (View course syllabus.)

*This course only runs if the minimum enrollment is met.  Check with your program manager to confirm.

 

International Missions/Service Learning Practicum (1-3 credits)

The practicum will enrich the program and mission experience through reflection assignments, research, and journaling. Participation is required in order to enhance the mission experience. Students will receive one credit upon completing the assignments and service participation. Students may elect to submit a log of hours for up to two additional credits. (View course syllabus)
