ELIGIBILITY
Minimum GPA
Students must have a minimum grade point average of 2.50.
Veritas Courses
All ISA Veritas semester students will take their traditional courses at the ISA study center in addition to one 3-credit ISA Veritas course. Students will choose one of the two courses below. The courses will include students from across all ISA Veritas locations. The Comparative Religions course will be online, and the International Missions/Service-Learning Practicum will be online/on-site.
Comparative Religions (HUM 353)
This course is an introduction to the major religious traditions of the world—particularly Hinduism, Buddhism, Judaism, Christianity, and Islam—and indigenous, new, and secular religions. The historical development, key figures, as well as major doctrines and practices are explored.
International Missions/Service-Learning Practicum (HUM 490)
This course provides upper division service-learning credit for international missions projects, an extended missions experience designed to acquaint students with the implementation of missions principles in an international context through ISA Veritas Christian Study Abroad programs.

- Course availability is based on enrollment numbers. All students should seek pre-approval for alternate courses in the event of last-minute class cancellations
- Requests for sample syllabi can be made to the Peru Site Specialist.
- Spanish language courses require the purchase of a language textbook at an additional cost. Many courses have a field trip component, which also comes at an additional cost. Contact the Peru Site Specialist for more information.
- Modular Language Classes
- Beginning and Intermediate Spanish Language classes are modular meaning students may progress through two courses in a semester.
- Beginning Spanish I and Intermediate Spanish I language courses will run during the first half of the semester
- Beginning Spanish II and Intermediate Spanish II language courses start during the second half of the semester
- Advanced Spanish will last for the entire semester
- Course Credit
- According to ISA policy, students must maintain full-time enrollment status, as determined by their home institutions, for the duration of the program. Credit transfer is ultimately determined by the student’s home university.
- Transcripts
- Although students study at the ISA Study Center in Cusco, their transcript will be from the Universidad de Salamanca and will reflect contact hours for each course listed below. Please be in touch with your home university regarding credit transfer for this program.
