II. AUDIENCE
El curso está destinado únicamente a estudiantes de ISA Cursos Internacionales de la Universidad de Salamanca. Ningún estudiante externo al grupo ISA podrá recibir el curso.
 
III. CONTACT HOURS
During this course, you will engage in 40 sessions of 90 minutes, 3 sessions per week (13 weeks), for a total of 60 hours and 56 hours of beginning Quechua language instruction. The course is taught by a private Quechua language teacher.
 
IV. SUMMARY
Beginning Quechua is a practical and experiential course in which students use their knowledge in situations that simulate real communication with other speakers of this Native Andean language.
 
IV. GENERAL COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course provides students with both the linguistic and the socio-linguistic abilities to introduce students to basic Quechua language.  It is focused on the grammatical and lexical knowledge as well as the practice of writing, reading, listening and speaking skills in order to communicate with other speakers of this Native Andean language.

V. COURSE OBJECTIVES:

  • Understand the main ideas of complex text on both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in his/her field of specialization.
  • Interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction with native speakers quite possible without strain for either party.
  • Produce clear, detailed text on a wide range of subjects and explain a viewpoint on a topical issue giving the advantages and disadvantages of various options.
