Overview
This module provides a survey of major theories and theorists in the study of global culture, and relates those
theories and theorists to a selection of visual objects, including, but not limited to, cinema, painting, and
photography. Students will deepen their awareness of, and critical ability to debate, the theoretical
understanding of culture in relation to cinema and other appropriate artefacts from different parts of the globe.
