Course Description & Objectives:

This is the second in a two-course sequence on financial accounting and reporting at the intermediate level. The focus of the course is to extend the understanding of Financial Accounting topics – specifically leases, taxes pensions & postretirement benefits, share-based compensation & EPS and the Cash Flow Statement. Further the goal is to provide a solid foundation for not only for financial accounting but other business subjects as well. The course is devoted to the development of in-depth understanding of financial statements, income determination, asset measurement and the cash flow effects of selected economic events and transactions.
