Overview

Introduction
Genomics is a large-scale study of genetics. Recent advancement of high-throughput technologies stimulated the accumulation of large-scale data from entire genome. Functional genomics covers these advancements in genomics.

Course Objectives
The class focuses on obtaining the following knowledge:

  • Basic terminology related to genomics
  • Technological aspects of high-throughput platforms to obtain DNA sequence, transcriptome, proteome, and epigenetic map in a genome-wide way
  • General characteristics of these genome-scale data
