Overview

The objective of this course is to help students to understand contemporary economic issues in Asian and global economy. This course focuses the growth, structural reform, and financial crisis of the Korean and Asian economy, and analyzes the economic transition and emergence of China and its impact on the world economy. We will also discuss important contemporary global economic developments, such as trade and financial global integration and the global financial crisis and recovery, and their implications for Asia.
Students are expected to learn economic techniques to analyze various issues and understand current policy debates in Korea, Asia and the world economy.
