This course covers environmental problems including human population growth, environmental pollution and loss of natural resources that we face, and potential solutions to these problems for our sustainable future. As a companion course of 'environmental ecology', physical and chemical principles that are essential in understanding environmental issues are emphasized.

Course Objectives
As one of the core undergraduate courses in Division of Environmental Science and Ecological Engineering, this course covers broad environmental challenges that mankind faces with. By taking this course, students are expected to understand the concept of environmental sustainability and specific environmental issues such as energy for human society and environmental pollution and prevention, etc.
