Overview

Outline: Linear algebra is an area of mathematics for the study of operators on certain sets (called vector spaces). It has become an indispensable tool in many branches of sciences from mathematics to engineering or economics. In this course we will study basic concepts and theorems in Linear Algebra including system of linear equations and its solutions, determinants and vector spaces.

Course Objectives
After taking this course, students should be able to
(1) understand how linear algebra is used to simplify mathematical problems
(2) interpret linear problems with respect to vector spaces and matrix operations
(3) look at mathematical problems in various view points
