Overview

This course will provide an introduction to a newly emerging field called Social Neuroscience. The course will review the fundamental neural bases underlying various emotional and cognitive processes guiding human behaviors particularly under social contexts, focusing on the representative examples of the up-to-date research in various domains. Rapidly accumulating new knowledge in brain science aided by recent technical advances has made significant impacts on diverse aspects of our human society including political and legal systems, economics, education, etc. This course will also include in-depth discussions about how our future society will be shaped by exponentially growing developments in brain science.
