Overview

Introduction
This course addresses important topics and theories related to persuasive communication, including commercial marketing, social marketing, health and political campaigns, and interpersonal compliance gaining strategies. The course begins with consideration of communication message and psychological theories. Then, we will further discuss those theories can be applied to explain persuasion in everyday communication.

1. To learn important theories relevant to persuasive communication
2. To apply theories to the practice of persuasive communication
3. To be able to design creative messages for persuasive communication
