Located within fifteen minutes of the Plaza de España and right next to Parque de María Luisa, the ISA Study Center is the leading organization in Spain for teaching the Spanish language and culture to international students.

Ideal for the first-time traveler or students who are hoping to gain a better understanding of Spanish culture and language, the ISA Study Center with Universidad Internacional Menéndez Pelayo (UIMP) is focused specifically for students, placing high emphasis on Spanish language, literature, culture, business, and education. ISA students will only be taking courses with other ISA students, and the campus is shared by the ISA office, so you will have regular interaction and support from the resident staff.

There are Semester, Summer, and Intensive Language Month programs available in Sevilla, Spain.  Students who choose to do multiple programs will receive a discount.

Academic Overview

Semester Programs (Spring, Fall & Academic Year)

Students are required to maintain full-time student status during their programs, including:

  • One Veritas course: Cross-Cultural Leadership (optional and only offered when min. enrollment of 6 student on-site met)
  • International Missions/Service-Learning Practicum optional
  • Other courses at UIMP to maintain full-time student status

Summer Programs

Students will enroll in the following:

  • Two courses at the UIMP required
    • minimum High-beginning Spanish language level for Summer 4
    • minimum Intermediate and Advanced language students may take Summer 4 or 5
  • International Missions/Service-Learning Practicum optional

Language Placement Exam

All students will take a placement exam upon arrival to determine language proficiency level. Exam results may determine eligibility for course enrollment. Students who arrive having completed the following number of semesters/quarters of college-level Spanish, or the equivalent, typically place into the corresponding language level:
