Minimum GPA

Students must have a minimum grade point average of 2.50.

Minimum Admissions Prerequisites

Students must have completed or tested out of a minimum of four semesters (six quarters) of college-level Spanish


Veritas Courses

Students have the option to enroll in the 1 credit Veritas International Missions/Service-Learning Practicum. If students choose to enroll in the course they will pay the following fee for an additional transcript from California Baptist University. 

Additional California Baptist Transcript Fee = $300

International Mission/Service-Learning Practicum (1 Credit)

ALL Veritas Students have the opportunity to earn 1 college credit for the International Missions/Service-learning Practicum (IMSP).  Students that choose to receive credit will receive a transcript from California Baptist University and pay Veritas the transcript fee listed above.

The practicum will enrich the program and mission experience through reflection assignments, research, and journaling. Participation is required in order to enhance the mission experience. Students will receive one credit upon completing the assignments and service participation. Students may elect to submit a log of hours for up to two additional credits. (Download syllabus here).


Cross-Cultural Engagement Certificate & Badge Program 

The ISA-Veritas Cross-Cultural Engagement Certificate has been designed to recognize the activities and achievements you complete on your program while encouraging professional and spiritual development. All students have the opportunity toearn the Cross-Cultural Engagement Certificate upon completion of the Leadership, Cultural Explorer and Storyteller badges. This is an alternative credit and does not come on the California Baptist Transcript mentioned above.

Course Selection

  • Only course offered in this program is an Advanced Spanish course. Students must be at Advanced or higher language proficiency in Spanish to participate in this program.
  • Courses and course hours of instructions are subject to change.
  • Eligibility for courses may be subject to a placement exam. (All Language Courses)
  • Requests for sample syllabi can be made to the ISA Seville Program Manager.

Course Credit

  • Credits earned vary according to the policies of the students' home institutions. According to ISA policy and possible visa requirements, students must maintain full-time enrollment status, as determined by their home institutions, for the duration of the program.
  • Per the Universidad Internacional Menéndez Pelayo, 15 contact hours is equivalent to 1 U.S. semester credit/ 1.5 quarter units.

ISA Course Level Recommendation

  • ISA offers course level recommendations for the courses listed below. Please note that recommendations are based on the host university course codes. The structure of course codes at the ISA Study Center with the Universidad Internacional Menéndez Pelayo-Sevilla consists of a series of prefixes and numbers. The course code prefix is a three-letter designator for a major division of academic discipline or area of study. The course code number is a three-digit designator for the course level/year taught (first digit), and range of content specificity (second and third digits). The letter (E) following a course code indicates the course is taught in English. The letter (S) following a course code indicated the course is taught in Spanish. Based on this information, ISA recommends that courses starting with the numbers 1 and 2 be classified as lower division, while courses starting with the numbers 3 and 4 be classified as upper division.
