Overview

General Description:
The course will cover seven main objectives: Functions and functional notation, domains and ranges of functions, graphs of functions and relations, operations of functions, equations and inequalities, linear, inverse, quadratic, and rational functions, trigonometric functions, exponential and logarithmic properties, functions, and equations. Recommended background: two years of high school algebra.

Objectives:
At the end of the course the student is expected to be able to:
-Understand the mathematical concept of functions.
-Obtain the domain and range of a function.
-Operate and compose functions.
-Plot the graphs of different functions and to recognize the functions by their graphs.
-Solve equations and inequalities.
-Operate with exponential and logarithmic expressions using their properties.
