Overview

GENERAL GOALS
a. Acquire the theoretical basis of the advanced instrumental techniques program and learn the possible practical applications of those techniques. Be capable of choosing the most appropriate technique among different available options to solve a particular analytical problem.
b. Learn the basics of cellular and molecular laboratory equipment and their functioning. In specific those used for cell culture, centrifugation, electrophoresis, chromatography, termocycling, microscopy, spectroscopy etc.
c. Use of bioinformatics for primer design purposes to fit specific project requirements.
d. Develop the ability to identify variables and use different instrumental techniques to analyze them.
e. Develop own criteria for critical Reading of scientific articles on different instrumental technique topics that form part of the course program.
f. Become capable of understanding the choice of techniques used in Real Research Projects that will be presented to students in special seminar sessions by experts.
