Veritas London Staff

Maria is very happy to have joined the ISA/Veritas family and to live and work in the most diverse city in the world. She strives to help ISA and Veritas students gain a meaningful personal, educational and cultural experience through the ISA and Veritas in England Program.

Maria studied at the American University in Bulgaria before moving to the United States in 1996. After receiving her MBA from the University of Minnesota-Duluth, she managed several programs through the International Education Office on the Duluth campus. Additionally, Maria brings a lot of experience in leading study abroad programs both in the US and Europe. Maria's personal study abroad and international experiences have profoundly changed her life and she is dedicated to making your experience in England an excellent one.

 

Marina Kozhuharova, Asst. Resident Director

Marina joined the ISA/Veritas team in 2010 after graduating from King's College London with a degree in International Commercial and Financial Law. Marina has traveled extensively throughout Europe and believes that study abroad is essential to personal growth and offers fantastic opportunities to discover the world at large. Among her favorite places in London are the River Thames Embankment, Tower Bridge and Greenwich Park. Marina is very excited to show the ISA and Veritas students London's diverse cultural and historic heritage.

An England native, Chris Oldfield teaches one of the only undergraduate courses on science and religion in the UK. He is a Visiting Lecturer at Roehampton University, St Mellitus Theological College, and St Paul’s Theological Centre, London; and adjunct professor with California Baptist University. He is currently working on a PhD in philosophy at King’s College London on the naturalist stance. He is affiliated with the Faraday Institute for Science and Religion at Cambridge University and the Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics. Prior to this, Chris worked with UCCF (inter varsity) in London and IFES in France and Belgium. Having lived and worked abroad, he appreciates the cross-cultural delights of Veritas.

 

Veritas London Office

 

Veritas staff is available at all times, and will conduct the Veritas on-site orientation, lead excursions, arrange tutoring, and provide support during the enrollment process. The office is very central and easily accessible for all students in London, and is less than a five minute's walk from the longest shopping street in Europe: Oxford Street! The Veritas Office is located convenient to public transportation, and provides you with a place to obtain travel advice, relax, or simply visit with other students and the Veritas staff.

Many famous residents have lived and are currently living in this area including: Madonna, Paul McCartney, Sienna Miller, Ringo Starr, John Lennon, Jimi Hendrix and historic figures like Charles Dickens, Lord Byron, Sherlock Holmes and many others!

The office is located in the same historic building where David Edward Hughes (the inventor of microphone) lived.

In addition to the office, as a Veritas student you will also have full access to all of the resources available through your host university, including counseling services, a health center, academic advising, tutoring, libraries, and internet access.
