Overview

This course explores the contribution of microeconomics to the design of collective decision processes (voting rules, bargaining protocols), and the fair distribution and exploitation of scarce resources through prices or other tools. Two focal points are the welfarist approach to distributive justice known as Social Choice Theory, and the analysis of strategic incentives by Game Theory.
