The course provides fundamental economic understanding on resource issues. This course covers various resources such as depletable resources, renewable resources, water, forest, fishery, population, biodiversity and disease control. And it will be studied severable methods by which these resources can be efficiently developed and utilized.

Course Objectives
Main concern on resource economics is to achieve efficiency and sustainability. To accomplish this target, basic economic conditions must be met by considering benefits and costs. This course aims to provide technical issues regarding each specific type of resources. Since many resources are associated with intergenerational issues, several mathematical tools will be also studied along with empirical survey.
