Jonathan Kim, Resident Director

Jonathan Kim studied at Rutgers University in his home state, New Jersey, where he completed his undergraduate degree in Asian Languages and Cultures. After graduating, he came to Korea to learn Korean for one year. However, he fell in love with Korea and ended up staying for the next five years. During this time, Jonathan received Master of Arts degree in Graduate School of International Studies at Korea University, while helping students get adjusted to college life and Korean culture as an administrative assistant. Before joining ISA & Veritas, he spent time as a translator for a broadcasting corporation and various NGOs as well as being a lecturer teaching Korean language and literature. He hopes to help overseas students gain a great experience in Korea.

Jaehoon Shim, Housing Coordinator

Jaehoon studied at Kyungwon University in Seoul where he earned a degree in Tourism Management. He has been to Sydney, Australia as a exchange student and also studied abroad in England. Before joining ISA and Veritas, Jaehoon worked at Konkuk University for four years as an advisor for the International Internship Program and as a residential administrative assistant for foreign scholars. He is looking forward to helping students adapt to a globalizing world with a diversity of cultures.

 

Veritas Seoul Office

 

 

Located on the 11th floor of the K-tower building is the ISA and Veritas Seoul, South Korea on-site office. It sits right next to Wangsimni (Wangsipri) Station boasting five different subway lines—a new hub for Seoul. All ISA and Veritas study abroad students can visit the staff to talk about their cultural experiences, obtain language tutoring, and receive assistance with all aspects of daily life in Seoul. Students who wish to travel during the program will also be able to get advice from the ISA and Veritas staff.
