  • Prior to enrolling in courses at this language level, students must have completed or tested out of a minimum of three semesters (or five quarters) at the college level.

Overview

I. Description
a. Theoretic course- practice of indigenous Chilean games.
b. Results of the investigation of Ethno-historic and Ethnographic effects found by the professor of the course.

II. Thematic Units
a. Palin or Chueca: Game similar to hockey played on grass.
b. Linao: Game similar to rugby
c. Pillmatum: series of ball games played with your hands.

III. Objectives
a. To experience the Mapuche culture through its games.
b. To become familiar with and practice Chilean aboriginal games.

IV. Evaluation
a. 80% attendance
b. Participation in workshops
c. Participation in games
