Small businesses are highly important to the UK economy. This module provides students with the knowledge of what is involved in starting up and running a small business. It builds upon knowledge gained in previous modules and provides students with the opportunity to apply the knowledge in a practical and integrated way. Not only does it develop their self-confidence and entrepreneurial skills, but it helps students to understand the importance of teamwork in running a business and the responsibilities that it places on them.
As well as equipping students with a theoretical understanding of what is required in running a small business, this module develops their business and entrepreneurial skills, which will enable them to create new businesses in the future.
